At present, we have just finished editing our trailer as well as our Poster and Magazine Cover. As a group we are all happy with the outcome and the selection of scenes and images we are using. At first we were having issues as to how the trailer would start and with what shot. As a group, we had to deicde between these three shots to start with:
- The Girl on the Floor
- The pictures on the girl's wall
- The Bible and Cross on the table
We wanted to have the most effective outcome on our target audience and we thought that all three of these shots would have this. We thought that the first shot would be effective as it shows the main character in a peculiar stance which would intrigue the viewer from the start. We thought that the second shot would be effective as it doesn't give away too much detail right at the beginning. We thought that the thrid shot would be effective as we believe it would cause suspision amongst the audience as to why those items have been placed there. After rearranging the scenes a numerous amount of times, we settled on the final outcome as we believe it would appeal more to our audience by grabbing their attention and not giving too much away at the beginning.
We are now going to add more posts to our blog and focus on how to promote the upcoming release to our teaser trailer. We intend to use different software in this process to reach the highest viewers possible to get the most effective feedback.
We will now have to do research into this promotion in order to receive different views of feedback-from within our target and also around it. By getting this variety of feedback, we will be able to tell if our age range which we aimed our trailer at (16-25 year olds) was appropriate and would've been effective if we did release it as a film.
